Cambridge Shred Day

The Cambridge Consumers’ Council will be hosting the next Document Shred Event Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., in front of Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue. This event will be held rain or shine. 

 

The Shred Day event, which is on a first come, first served or full truck basis, will provide free public shredding and allow residents to safely dispose of unwanted records and documents.  Documents will be destroyed on the spot in a mobile shredding truck. There is a limit of 5 paper size boxes per person. Drop-off parking will be available on Massachusetts Avenue and Bigelow Street.

Information will also be available about the Consumers’ Council, tips to avoid identity theft, fraud, or scams and the City’s recycling and composting programs.  Please contact the Consumers’ Council with any questions at 617-349-6150 or consumer@cambridgema.gov.
